National Geographic

This past summer a few of us went into the mountains of Eastern Utah to film a segment for National Geographic EXPLORER. They had contacted me last winter asking if I would be interested in helping them with their project. In the time between those first conversations and the days of filming I was able to put together a team. I needed horses so I got my good friend Stuart White of Spanish Fork, Utah, to help out in that area. I contacted my youngest son Cody and my good friend John Labrum to be with me on this team. Those two of course are my main team members anyway. Others came as well as support group. Charles Christensen and his wife Kathy and Paul and Debbie George as well. Both Charles and Paul are linked with the new H 3 Tech element locator device that we used during the filming of "Secret History of Gold".
I was bit disappointed at the outcome of the film for a few reasons. 1. They did not give us the full "Campfire". 2. They portrayed me as a "Typical Treasure Hunter Type" while I am not at all typical and I feel I am more of an adventurer and historian than what they portrayed. 3. I felt that it was inappropriate for them to say that "It has been the same for 40 years" implying that I have never found anything worth while. Perhaps they are protecting me.

Let me know what you thought of the film.
